Kingsford Community School

In 2011 Jim was awarded a grant from Royal Docks Trust to be Writer-in-Residence at Kingsford Community School, Beckton, working with Yr 10 secondary school drama pupils over a one term (11-12 weeks) period exploring and studying the craft/art of playwriting, and creative writing in general. At the end of the residency, pupils developed as first-time ‘authors’ and learnt how to structure, create and write a short play which they performed to an invited audience.
